“Thank you very much for all your help with our renovation project at the Hidden Garden at the DCA Meadowlands. We appreciate the effort it took to build the
flagstone raised bed, re-lay the walkway, install new electrical, remove the glass
wall on the porch and build two new bilco doors. You also painted the porch and the bilco doors, donated a truck load of dirt, bought and installed new shutters and
installed the downspout for the rain barrel. We are all so appreciative of the help
you have given our project. The new Hidden Garden at the DCA Meadowlands is
complete and thanks to your contribution it will serve as a nice addition to our community.”

“On behalf of the YWCA Darien/Norwalk and the July 4 Push-n-Pull Parade Committee, I want to
thank you for your contribution of $500 and the use of the flatbed truck to the Push-n-Pull parade.
The staff also really appreciated the steps you had leading to the truck bed! The 4th of July
children's parade attracted approximately 2500 participants this year and we truly appreciate your
on-going support.”

Trust expresses thanks for help with Farm Creek Preserve
To the Editor:
As I write this letter, the old
Hart house at 34 Sammis St. in Rowayton is being
demolished to
make way for a meadow and observation space next
to Farm Creek. The Norwalk Land Trust is hugely
grateful to Fred and Ginny Genestre of F&G
construction for doing this demolition at no cost
to the land trust or the Campaign for a Farm Creek
Preserve.
Bob Calve of Fox Hill Builders and the Genestres
arranged for the demolition, a complicated process
of getting permits for proper disposal of demolition

As
Darien residents, Anthony Frate and Bob Calve of Fox
Hill Builders, saw the need for public restrooms at
busy Cherry Lawn Park. Working with the town’s
Parks and Recreation department, they spearheaded the
facility’s construction. Patterson & Bigosinski
Architects, Rings End Lumber, Fraser Plumbing, F.D.
Electrical Contracting, Klaff’s Lighting, S.P.
Drywall, and Bella Pietra Tile joined
Fox Hill Builders in donating materials and labor to
create a traditional New England style building with
cedar siding and slate style roof. Tile floors and
heating provide welcome year-round cleanliness and
comfort.

Darien
Technology Fund benefits from tree house auction
When
the Darien Technology Fund needed a special prize
for its fundraising auction, Fox Hill Builders
helped them “up.” Joining with architect
Robert Cardello of Norwalk and Rings End Lumber,
Fox Hill Builders offered to create a one-of-a-kind
tree house. The winning $20,000 bid resulted in
a barrel-roofed cedar fort with picture window,
railed platform, and Plexiglas floor insert – a
must for spotting spies!
